Copyright policy

The short version
Strics.AI is run by Strics (CVR 44629305), a design studio in Denmark. We make thumbnails for a living, so we take other people's work seriously. This policy explains what you may upload, how to tell us if your work is on Strics.AI without your permission, and what we do when you do.
- Only upload images you own or have permission to use.
- If your work is on Strics.AI without your permission, email us and we'll look at it quickly.
- We remove what infringes, tell the uploader why, and let them object if they think we got it wrong.
- Accounts that keep infringing are closed.
What you may upload
You're responsible for every image you bring into Strics.AI: references, photos, faces, thumbnails to recreate and anything you post to Community. Only upload something if you made it, you own it, or its owner has given you permission. Our terms already ask this of you; this page explains what happens when it goes wrong.
References and Recreate thumbnail
Designers work from references, and Recreate thumbnail is built for that: it takes the idea and the layout of a thumbnail you like, puts your own creator in it and changes it, so you end up with a new thumbnail rather than a copy. Use it that way.
- Use someone else's thumbnail as a reference for an idea, not to reproduce their artwork, photos, characters, logos or brand.
- Don't publish a recreation that could be mistaken for the original, or for the original creator's work.
- Don't put real people in a thumbnail unless they've given you permission to use their likeness.
- Uploading a reference doesn't make it yours, and it never appears in Community.
Images made with AI
You own what you make with Strics.AI, as our terms explain, but images made with AI can look like existing work, and the same prompt can give someone else a similar result. Check anything important before you publish it, especially when you worked from a reference. If an image you made turns out to infringe someone else's rights, it's your responsibility, not ours.
Reporting work used without permission
If you believe something on Strics.AI infringes your copyright, or the copyright of someone you represent, email imranstrics@gmail.com with the subject “Copyright notice”. Please include:
- your name, and how to reach you: email address and, if you have one, phone number and postal address
- the work you say is being infringed, with a link to it or a copy of it
- exactly where it is on Strics.AI: the link to the Community post or profile, or a screenshot showing where you found it
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised by the owner, their agent or the law
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you're the owner or are authorised to act for them
- your full name as a signature
A notice that leaves out something we need may take longer, as we'll have to ask. Reports about other things, like a real person's likeness or a trademark, can come to the same address: say what the problem is and where it is. On Community, every post and profile also has a Report button that sends us the same details.
What happens next
- We confirm we've received your notice and look at it as quickly as we can.
- If it's complete and the content appears to infringe, we remove it or block access to it.
- We tell the uploader what we removed and why, and how to object, unless the law or the circumstances mean we shouldn't.
- We tell you what we decided.
We may share your notice, including your name and contact details, with the uploader so they can respond to it.
If your content was removed
If we removed something of yours and you believe that was a mistake, because you own it, have permission to use it, or the law allows your use, email imranstrics@gmail.com with the subject “Copyright counter-notice”. Include your name and contact details, what was removed, why you believe it shouldn't have been, and a statement that what you've told us is accurate. We review it, may pass it on to the person who reported the content, and restore it where that's right.
Repeat infringement
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly upload or publish work that infringes other people's rights. As our terms say, a closed account loses its credits, and payments aren't refunded.
False reports
Only send a notice if you genuinely believe the content infringes your rights. Knowingly false or misleading notices or counter-notices can make you liable for the harm they cause, and we may ignore notices from anyone who keeps sending them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Strics.AI changes, and we'll update this page and its date when we do. For anything about copyright on Strics.AI, email imranstrics@gmail.com or use the contact page.
